Tenuta Santodeno's Sangiovese 'Appassimento' comes from the hills of Romagna. It is an elegant experiment, a red wine made from grapes that are harvested by hand and dried in small crates to concentrate the sugars and add complexity. The intense red colour anticipates aromas of jammy fruit as well as dark spicy notes. On the palate it is full and concentrated, with soft tannins and harmony on the palate. Perfect with game, roasts and mature cheeses
