Yuka & Clotaire Michal's Gamay 'à Fleur de Peau' is a Beaujolais red of great finesse. The plot from which the grapes are harvested is a gem of the region: century-old vines grow on soils rich in quartz and pink granite that seem to sparkle! The winery works with minimal intervention, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, with spontaneous fermentation and ageing in very old barrels. The nose reveals delicate aromas of wilted roses, red fruit, tobacco and fragrant herbs. On the palate, it is balanced but dense, with long, harmonious tannins accompanying a sip of great elegance. It pairs perfectly with cold cuts and meat dishes, particularly coq au vin cooked strictly with Beaujolais wine
Deep peony red
Delicate aromas of currant and rose, finishing with tobacco and dried herbs such as sage
Fine tannins, dense in roundness and mouthfeel
