AGLIANICO DEL VULTURE BASILISCO 2019 DESCRIPTION

racking, the Aglianico rests for 12-15 months in French oak barriques of first and second passage and completes the aging with 12 months in bottle in the historic caves of Barile, carved into the tuff rock.

The Aglianico del Vulture Basilisco is one of the great reds of southern Italy, capable of combining power with an austere expressive elegance. It presents a very intense ruby red color, with violet reflections. The olfactory profile is characterized by aromas of small red berry fruits, underbrush, spicy notes, balsamic and precious woods. On the palate, it immediately shows an important body, with deep aromatic richness, making the sip of great persistence and length. The tannic texture is dense and well integrated into the structure of the wine, and the finish is of beautiful freshness, with a savory and mineral finale.
