Luigi Tecce's Aglianico 'Purosangue' is a true 'thoroughbred', not only in the Irpinia region or Campania. It is a red wine of rare depth and power mixed with finesse and elegance, characteristics found in the great red wines of Italy. To extract the maximum potential from the grape variety, Luigi uses an ingredient that is essential for producing great wines: time. This red wine matures for two years in tonneaux and barrels before spending another two years in the bottle to reach its final stage. On the nose, it retains a powerful fruity profile of ripe dark fruit combined with balsamic notes on the finish. On the palate, it is warm and robust but also very fresh and energetic
Impenetrable ruby red
Very intense, with figs and plum jam, hints of nocino and camphor
Round and very warm, with tight but well-integrated tannins, very fresh, particularly on the finish, lively and energetic
