The Albana Romagna "Albara" from Tenuta Santa Lucia originates in Romagna in Mercato Saraceno, in the province of Forlì-Cesena. The winery began its activity at the end of the sixties with the cultivation of fruits, cereals, grapes, and cattle breeding: the main idea was to achieve self-sufficiency. Around the nineties, it specialized in winemaking, and the working philosophy is oriented towards producing quality wines that are in harmony with the territory and are the final act of a work that respects nature and its stages of development: the relationship with the territory becomes vital to enhance and value the native varieties.
The pure Albana grapes of the Albana Romagna "Albara" from Tenuta Santa Lucia come from the vineyard "Roversano", planted in 2004 and located about 400 meters above sea level with an excellent southeast exposure that ensures perfect and complete ripening of the grapes. The cultivation regime is organic and biodynamic, with minimal human intervention.without the use of insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, and synthetic fertilizers. The soil is mainly composed of sand, limestone with a presence of tuff that ensures full structure to the wines. Once the harvest is completed, a selection of the grapes is carried out in the cellar, paying attention to the integrity of the bunches that are pressed whole. Fermentation is spontaneous thanks to indigenous yeasts and aging takes place in steel tanks on its own yeasts and 12 months in the bottle.
The Albana Romagna "Albara" by Tenuta Santa Lucia presents itself in the glass with a straw yellow color with brilliant golden reflections; on the nose, notes of broom, chamomile, and ripe yellow-fleshed fruit are intercepted; on the palate, it is balanced, round with a freshness and a pleasant final savoriness that invites drinking. It pairs perfectly with fish, mollusks, and shellfish dishes; also excellent with white meats, vegetarian dishes, and fermented cheeses. A product to be kept in your personal cellar and shared on family celebrations or gatherings with lifelong friends.
