The Albarino 'Raxeira' Monte Pio fully expresses the edgy character of this varietal. Approximately 20% of the mass matures in 'tinaja', the typical Spanish amphora, which makes the sip even cleaner and sharper. The nose releases aromas typical of the variety, with hints of citrus and brackish hints. The distinctive trait, however, is the freshness, so pronounced as to make the sip sharp, taut, nervous. The Atlantic influence also gives it great flavour, ideal in combination with seafood specialities
Brilliant straw yellow with greenish highlights
Intense grapefruit and lemon open up to subtle hints of lavender and salty aromas
Sharp and taut, direct, distinctly saline
