François Bergeret's Bourgogne Aligoté comes from the clay-limestone vineyards on the slopes of Nolay, where François, a fourth-generation winegrower, practises 'integrated pest management' in the vineyard out of love for his land. Aged for 12 months with bâtonnage, it is a rounded version of Aligoté from Beaune. The nose enchants with candied citrus fruits and fresh hay. On the palate, it is lively, with a sharp vivacity and typical sapidity. Excellent with egg or fish specialities such as quiche or oysters
Bright straw yellow
Fresh lemon start, then hawthorn and hints of iodine
Lively, agile and very fresh, with a salty finish
