Renato Ratti’s Alta Langa comes from a small vineyard of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grown at high altitude, at around 700 metres above sea level. The label features, for the first time, a female figure inspired by the Piedmontese vivandiera, who accompanied and assisted the army during its movements. The grapes undergo soft pressing and fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by a long ageing on the lees for over 50 months, which defines the wine’s depth and structure. On the nose, aromas of white-fleshed fruit and citrus stand out, with hints of bread crust and mineral nuances on the finish. On the palate, a fresh yet enveloping profile emerges, supported by a fine perlage with distinct savoury notes on the finish. It pairs naturally with veal in tuna sauce
Straw yellow with golden highlights, fine and persistent bubbles
Hints of pear and white peach, with notes of lemon zest, floral hints of elderflower, and a touch of yeast on the finish
Creamy, with fine, persistent bubbles; fresh, with a slightly savoury finish
