Barbaresco Meruzzano 'Quota449' Orlando Abrigo 2022

Orlando Abrigo's Barbaresco "Meruzzano Quota 449" is an elegant interpretation of Nebbiolo from one of the largest cru vineyards in the entire appellation. The Abrigo family has been producing Barbaresco for generations and witnessed the establishment of the DOCG in 1981 first-hand, forging a deep connection to this area. The bouquet is broad and complex, with notes of orange peel, wilted rose petals and spicy and toasted nuances that come from over a year of ageing in oak barrels. On the palate, it is full and enveloping, supported by a lively freshness and powerful but perfectly integrated tannins. Excellent with red wine braised beef
