This Barbera comes from vineyards located at a fairly high altitude in the area around Alba, the 'capital' of the Langhe region and home to a prestigious winemaking tradition. It is aged in new barriques for over a year, giving this fresh, distinctly fruity wine verticality, roundness and complexity. The nose reveals red fruits, followed by blackberries, dark flowers and a slight hint of vanilla. On the palate, it is dry, smooth and supported by silky tannins. Excellent with stuffed pasta, such as the delicious 'plin', or white meats
Deep ruby red
Aromas of red fruits and flowers such as cherry, geranium and blackberry, sweet spices such as vanilla
Quite warm, intense and dry, smooth on the palate with silky tannins
