BARBERA D'ALBA 'RINALDI' MARZIANO ABBONA 2023 DESCRIPTION

Barbera d'Alba "Rinaldi" by Marziano Abbona is an intense and rich red that interprets this historic Piedmontese vine in the sign of a fragrant elegance, accompanied by a rich aromatic complexity. The quality of the grapes, coming from vineyards cultivated in the famous area of Monforte d'Alba, guarantees structure and intensity. Careful vinification and aging in wood, give a soft and harmonious face, which attenuates the juvenile edges of Barbera. An ideal label to discover the noble face of the grape.

The red Barbera d'Alba "Rinaldi" is the result of the experience of one of the wineries symbol of the Langhe. Marziano Abbona winery has been cultivating vineyards and producing wines with a typical territorial profile for over fifty years, capable of expressing the best excellence of the Piedmontese territory. The vineyards of Barbera are about 50 years old and are cultivated in the Rinaldi district of the prestigious hilly area of Monforte d'Alba, one of the most famous territories of the Langhe. At the end of the harvest, the best bunches are de-stemmed and sent to spontaneous fermentation in temperature-controlled steel tanks, using only indigenous yeasts and with the classic maceration on the skins. The wine ages for some months in large oak barrels and after a short passage in steel tanks is bottle.

The wine Barbera d'Alba "Rinaldi" is one of the most interesting reds of the winery of Marziano Abbona. It is a particularly valuable version of the classic Piedmontese grape, capable of combining the typical varietal freshness, with a more complex and powerful structure. A wine of great expressive harmony, which highlights the best face of Barbera. The color is ruby red with bright garnet reflections. The aroma expresses exuberant scents of cherry, dark berries, hints of undergrowth aromas delicately spicy. The palate has a good structure, with subtle tannins and a very rich and expressive fruit. The finish is persistent, fresh and savory. Excellent to taste immediately, reaches full maturity after a few years of aging in bottle.

When to open
To enjoy it at its best, we recommend you to let the wine 'breathe' at least 15-30 minutes before serving
When to drink
Wine good to drink now, but that can have a beautiful evolution after resting for a while in your cellar
Glass
Medium open goblet
Perfect for young and medium bodied red wines which don't require excessive oxygenation to open. The opening, slightly tighter than the body of the glass, favors the concentration of aromas towards the nose, enhancing the perception of aromas and limiting the dispersion
