BARBERA D'ASTI 'BRICCO DELL'UCCELLONE' MAGNUM BRAIDA 2021 DESCRIPTION

The Barbera d'Asti "Bricco Uccellone" by Braida is, unquestionably, one of the strengths of the winery founded in 1961 by Joseph Bologna. A cellar that in the years when the Barbera was a light wine and simple, in the years when the barrel was intended only for the most noble Barolo and Barbaresco, has revolutionized the way we think Barbera, valuing this great grape capable of giving red of infinite structure and aging potential truly remarkable. The Barbera d'Asti "Bricco Uccellone" by Braida is an example of all that is born in the vineyards of Rocchetta Tanaro, placed at 160 meters above sea level, on soils rich in clay and sand; soils that give great aroma and structure to the wines. Features that are in this Barbera d'Asti that the winery Braida gives birth after a maceration on the skins for 20 days and which gives a passage in barrique for 12 months, followed by an evolution in the bottle for another year. A Barbera takes shape a generous and great structure, a large body of Barbera, strong, important, that ammallia with complex notes of spices, red berries, underbrush, mint, vanilla and licorice. A Barbera which Braida wanted to witness his philosophy, his passion, his revolutionary idea...
