BARDOLINO CAVALCHINA 2024 DESCRIPTION

The Bardolino from Cavalchina is a red that perfectly expresses the character of the wines from the Veronese shore of Lake Garda. It is a wine with a typically territorial face, made from indigenous red grape varieties that have been cultivated in the area for centuries: Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara. The characteristics of the vines and the terroir are enhanced by a delicate vinification in steel, which brings to the forefront the freshness and fragrance, preserving the pleasantly fruity varietal aromas. A clear and slender red, which manages to combine tradition and modern taste for wines that enhance expressive immediacy.

The red Bardolino is born in one of the most interesting wineries in the Custoza and Garda area. For over a century, the Piona family has managed the Cavalchina estate, producing excellent wines that are still among the best excellences of the Garda area today. The vineyards of Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara are cultivated in the hilly area of Verona, on soils predominantly made up of ancient deposits of glacial origin of the morainic amphitheater of Lake Garda. The particularly mild climate, with Mediterranean nuances, favors an excellent ripening of the red grapes. The harvest takes place in a phase of slight overripening, in order to have sweeter and more intensely aromatic clusters. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with a maceration on the skins lasting about a dozen days. Before bottling, the wine rests for a few months in steel tanks on the fine lees.

The Bardolino wine from the Cavalchina winery is a young red, appreciated for its extraordinary pleasantness and versatility in pairings. It pairs very well with first courses of pasta with flavorful sauces, baked pasta, second courses based on white meats, poultry, turkey or veal roasts. In the glass, it presents a pale and bright ruby red color. On the nose, it is exuberant and lively, with fragrant aromas of marasca, wild strawberries, currants, cherries, light floral nuances, and delicately spiced.integrated to the frutto succoso e croccante, che esprime tutta la giovanile vitalità di un rosso scorrevole e facile da bere. La chiusura è sapida e di vivace freschezza. Una versione elegante e autentica della grande tradizione dei rossi di Bardolino.
