Poderi Fogliati's Barolo 'Treturne' is an intense red wine presented by the winery in its most classic and territorial version. The grapes come from vineyards on the border between Monforte and Castiglione Falletto, where the winery operates organically. The bouquet is elegant and subtle, with notes of dried rose, currant, cherry and light hints of cocoa. On the palate, the tannins are present but soft, harmonious and persistent, with a fine balance between structure and freshness. It pairs beautifully with game or truffle dishes, such as tagliolini with white truffles or roast guinea fowl
Bright garnet red with orange hues
I begin with dried rose and red fruits such as currants, then cherry, hints of tobacco and sweet spices such as cocoa
Elegant, intense but balanced and savoury, with a persistent and silky finish
