BAS ARMAGNAC CHATEAU DE LAUBADE XO DESCRIPTION

The Bas Armagnac XO signed by Château de Laubade is a distillate that tells the strength of the bond between the Lesgourgues family, now at the helm of the distillery with the third generation of the family, and the terroir of Sorbets d’Armagnac. The woods used for the aging of this XO indeed come from the forests surrounding the castle, and the distillation is carefully monitored by the Maître de Chai, responsible for all the steps that take place in the cellar, following traditional craft processes handed down over more than 150 years of activity. A label rich in aromas on the nose, filling the palate with class and refinement, never sacrificing a well-defined body, which continues even in the finish, thanks to a taste with excellent persistence.

This Bas Armagnac XO is assembled by Château de Laubade starting from a meticulous and precise selection of eaux-de-vie, aged in Gascon barrels, wood coming from the forests owned by the Château itself, for a period ranging from 25 to 15 years. These eaux-de-vie originate from a artisanal distillation, using an imposing still, of white wines made from the typical grapes of the Armagnac area, namely Ugni Blanc, Baco, Colombard, and Folle Blanche.

The XO Bas Armagnac reveals itself visually with a strong visual impact, highlighting a bright amber color. On the nose, it moves with a layered and generous olfactory progression, presenting fruity touches and tertiary aromas, enriched by notes of toasted bread and hints of citrus peel. On the palate, it is full-bodied, refined, with an enveloping sip that in the finish shows to have a great persistence. A perfect bottle to share moments of reflection after dinner, in the company of your guests.
