BLANC DES ROSIS 'DEL POMPIERE' SCHIOPETTO 2022 DESCRIPTION

The Blanc des Rosis del Pompiere is a Friulian wine that comes from a representative blend of those white grape varieties, both indigenous and international, that have chosen the Friulian terroir as their ideal habitat for growth, primarily Friulano, and then Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon, and Pinot Grigio. An identity bottle, it develops both on the nose and on the palate with delicate, elegant sensations, which testify to the great know-how of the Schiopetto winery in creating sophisticated blends.

The Blanc des Rosis takes shape from a blend where the reference grape variety is Friulano, accompanied by more or less similar percentages of Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon, and Pinot Grigio. The vines of these four varieties grow in soils composed of clays and hill marls of Eocene origin, and the yields in the vineyard never exceed 60 quintals per hectare. The grapes, once they arrive in the winemaking facilities after the harvest, are softly pressed, and then decanted in the absence of sulfur; the alcoholic fermentation lasts for 10-12 days and takes place in steel tanks. Always in steel takes place the aging, which lasts for 8 months.

The Blanc des Rosis Pompiere presents itself to the eye with a straw yellow color, crossed by greener flashes at the rim. The range of aromas that constitutes its olfactory profile is announced as subtle, with notes of citrus and yellow-fleshed fruit, enhanced by more floral sensations. On the palate, it is light and delicate, with a sip that has pleasant freshness, characterized by a mineral taste. It finishes with a persistent aftertaste. A Friulian white territorial, expressive, and incisive, with which the Schiopetto winery confirms itself at excellent quality levels, recognized also by the most important industry magazines both nationally and abroad.

When to drink
Wine good to drink now, but that can have a beautiful evolution after resting for a while in your cellar
Glass
Medium open goblet
Perfect for young and medium bodied white wines which don't require excessive oxygenation to open. The opening, slightly tighter than the body of the glass, favors the concentration of aromas towards the nose, enhancing the perception of aromas and limiting the dispersion
Longevity
You can leave it to rest in the cellar comfortably for 2-3 years
