BOLGHERI ROSSO SUPERIORE MAGNUM GRATTAMACCO 2021 DESCRIPTION

The Bolgheri Superiore Magnum from the Grattamacco winery is a elegant, full-bodied, and intense red wine produced on the summit of the hill overlooking the sea between Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri, beautiful villages on the Tuscan coast in the province of Livorno. This label is obtained from a blend of grapes that sees the Cabernet Sauvignon, predominantly present, joining the Merlot and Sangiovese to achieve an excellent result that has been demonstrating great qualitative consistency year after year. The vineyards are cultivated with guyot and spurred cordon pruning on hills located about 100 meters above sea level, characterized by soils rich in sandstones, clays, and calcareous-marly rocks, in a microclimate that is constantly influenced by the marine breezes that mitigate temperatures. The winery, owned by Claudio Tipa, already at the helm of Colle Massari, follows the principles of organic farming and today represents one of the strengths in Tuscany for this denomination.

The Bolgheri Grattamacco Superiore is produced with carefully selected and enveloping and with a long and persistent finish where fruity hints are linked to savory and mineral notes. This Bolgheri from the Grattamacco winery is a red of great stature, balanced, and endowed with a more than appreciable aromatic complexity.
