BOLGHERI ROSSO SUPERIORE MAGNUM GUADO AL TASSO - ANTINORI 2020 DESCRIPTION

Bolgheri Superiore from Tenuta Guado al Tasso dei Marchesi Antinori is a prestigious Tuscan Supertuscan, a symbol par excellence of the Bolgheri terroir and Italian red wine. It is one of the jewels in the crown of the entire Maremma region, which, thanks to its elegance and charm, has become a flagship for wine production on the Italian peninsula. Its success is mainly linked to the centuries-old tradition of Marchesi Antinori and the large territory surrounding the vineyards, nicknamed by many authors 'the Bolgheri amphitheatre' for its unique and rare beauty.

Bolgheri Guado al Tasso is one of Italy's best-known and most appreciated wines in the world, produced mainly from a Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The grapes are harvested and destemmed by hand, then selected manually in the cellar, choosing only the ripest bunches. After an initial short period of fermentation in steel vats, the grapes are left to mature in wood for a further year, at the end of which the best batches are blended and placed in small barrels for another 6 months before bottling.

Bolgheri Rosso Superiore Tenuta Guado al Tasso wine has a dark ruby red colour. It does not shine like a precious stone, but it is captivating and enticing. It has intense and complex aromas that initially recall ripe red fruit, which gradually give way to spicy and woody notes, with hints of chocolate and leather. It excites at first taste with its refinement and richness of sensations that seduce all the senses. The balance on the palate is absolute and harmonious, with all the flavour components perfectly calibrated and enveloping the palate with silky elegance. A lady in red with great charm.
