The Bolgheri Rosso Superiore “Millepassi” is a Tuscan wine that carries with it the classicism of the expressions from Bolgheri. In this area, blends of international grapes have always been made, and this red is no exception, characterized by a clear nose where fruit and spices interact with each other, while on the palate a decidedly harmonious taste emerges. A high-level bottle that is worth indulging in when the dishes on the table have the same depth, to create a memorable gastronomic pairing.
This Bolgheri Rosso Superiore “Millepassi” is produced by the winery Donna Olimpia 1898 using a trio of international red grape varieties, specifically Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Merlot. These three varieties are cultivated in vineyards overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, characterized by a subsoil mainly composed of silt and sand. The must ferments at a controlled temperature in stainless steel containers. The final aging lasts for two years, and it takes place both in new French oak barriques and in used barriques. Once maturation is complete, bottling takes place.
The “Millepassi” develops in the glass with a concentrated garnet color. The aromas that envelop the nose are very varied and move from a fruity texture to a scent of spices. On the palate, it is of excellent body, broad and elegant, with a harmonious sip from which emerges a distinctive aromatic flavor; it ends with a finish of excellent persistence. A well-crafted label, a valid choice when you want to gift a wine to enthusiasts of Tuscan reds.
