Bourgogne Chardonnay 'Les Hauts de La Combe' Joseph Colin 2023

Domaine Joseph Colin's ‘Les Hauts De La Combe’ is a white wine born from vines over fifty years old between Puligny Montrachet and Chassagne Montrachet. An elegant, typical and artisanal white wine made from Chardonnay grapes: it is aged in large old barrels, without bâtonnage and without filtration. It remains intense but with great tension and fruitiness. The bouquet is reminiscent of fresh citrus fruits, nashi pear, subtle hints of almond and sweet spices. On the palate, it combines density and vigour with a tense mineral texture and a salty finish. It pairs well with sea bass tartare or steamed shellfish

When to open
To enjoy an artisanal wine at its best, we recommend you to let it 'breathe' at least 15-30 minutes before serving
When to drink
Wine good to drink now, but that can have a beautiful evolution after resting for a while in your cellar
Glass
Medium open goblet
Perfect for young and medium bodied white wines which don't require excessive oxygenation to open. The opening, slightly tighter than the body of the glass, favors the concentration of aromas towards the nose, enhancing the perception of aromas and limiting the dispersion
Longevity
You can leave it to rest in the cellar for over 5 years
