Bernhard Huber's 'Breisgau' is a cuvée of Pinot Grigio and Pinot Bianco that once again demonstrates Julian Huber's skill both in the vineyard and in the cellar. It is a fresh yet juicy wine, with aromas of yellow-fleshed fruits such as quince and plum, combined with mineral hints of flint. The long ageing in wood, exceeding one year, gives delicate notes of toasted hazelnut and smoky hints. On the palate, it is vertical, crossed by a vivid and persistent freshness, remaining tense but at the same time soft and enveloping. A precise, deep and well-balanced white wine. Excellent with veal in tuna sauce or fish dishes such as turbot with brown butter
Straw yellow with golden reflections
Crisp, with hints of ripe yellow fruit, a floral touch of lime blossom, almond notes and a smoky finish
Tense and mineral, precise and sharp, moderately soft
