BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO 'VIGNA SOCCORSO' TIEZZI 2019 DESCRIPTION

Enzo Tiezzi has for long represented a veritable point of reference for the production of Brunello di Montalcino, in his capacity as winemaker and consultant, with strong relationships with a large number of companies from Montalcino and with the same consortium. Then, in the '80s, the choice to start a company with its name, which the most significant estates in the tradition of Brunello, including Vigna Soccroso Here was born the first Brunello bottled with that name in 1870 and still here continues to take life Brunello by Tiezzi, from the historical vine rows lapping the XIV century walls of Montalcino. The care of the vineyard is entirely entrusted to Enzo Tiezzi, assisted by personal helpers; the procedures in the cellar follow a traditional protocol, with long fermentations carried out in wooden vats with indigenous yeasts and aging in oak barrels with big volumes. The size of the cellar is the one of a small workshop, where everything points to an emphasis on obtaining genuine and authentic wines. Careful agronomic practices, with low yields and procedures conducted entirely by hand are the background to the production of Brunello Vigna Soccorso: the Tiezzi cellar has relished its distinctive signature of this large specimen of Montalcino vineyards, creating a wine with vibrant aromatic tones, dense tannins and long persistence on the palate.
