Vinzas Artas' Cannonau 'Nigheddu' is the winery's most comprehensive and representative expression, obtained from vines ranging in age from 5 to 100 years old on the typical granite soils of Mamoiada. A red wine with a classic structure, it ferments spontaneously in open vats with manual punching down and matures for a year in large barrels and then a year in the bottle, to round out and settle all the edges. The nose is dark and deep, with black fruit and herbaceous and salty Mediterranean notes. The palate is full, tannic and warm, supported by a fresh and persistent finish. Ideal with stewed meats and game, excellent with goat in a pan or wild boar
