CARTIZZE DRY BORTOLOMIOL 2024 DESCRIPTION

The Cartizze Dry by Bortolomiol encapsulates elegance and liveliness. The expressive finesse comes from its territory of origin, the hill of Cartizze, famous worldwide for being the area of Valdobbiadene most suited for the cultivation of Glera. This is indeed the name of the grape variety that animates Prosecco; it is a fragrant, joyful, cheerful grape that gives rise to a convivial and festive bubble. The refinement qualities already inherent to the territory are further enhanced by the feminine touch of the Bortolomiol women, who today manage the winery. Their sensitivity is reflected in the great care they take in managing the vineyard – which looks towards a type of organic cultivation – and in the ecological and social commitment that actively involves them. The 4.5 hectares of property are integrated with shares of grapes from contributing growers. This variability allows for a product of undeniable quality that is well descriptive of the territory. The vintage is a guarantee of a selected and concentrated not only on an extraordinary area but also on a specific vintage of which this Prosecco is a chameleonic narrator.

The Dry Cartizze Bortolomiol is obtained from pure Glera grapes, coming from vineyards located on the hill of Cartizze, within the municipality of Valdobbiadene. The harvest takes place during the second half of September, strictly by hand. The traditional white winemaking of the grapes precedes the sparkling process, which takes place according to the Martinotti method of refermentation in autoclaves. A rest on its own yeasts for 30 to 90 days completes the journey of this Cartizze.

Bortolomiol Cartizze Dry presents a straw yellow color made brilliant by long and persistent chains of bubbles. In its intense and fine bouquet, notes of honey, white flowers, exotic fruit, and a very refreshing citrus background stand out. The nose-mouth correspondence is almost perfect. The sip is creamy and soft, but well balanced by freshness and sapidity. Expansiveness and class: what better way to frame a moment of celebration?!
