Rousseaux-Batteux's Champagne Extra Brut Grand Cru 'Les Grandes Voyettes' originates from a tiny lieu-dit in Verzenay, about one-fifth of a hectare of Pinot Noir planted in the 1950s coexisting with Chardonnay planted in 2013. Vinification takes place in oak barrels, a true signature of the winery, in search of intensity and structure. The nose opens on white flowers, evolves into ripe apple and finishes on hazelnut pastry. On the palate it is creamy and saline, with a finish of great tension. Excellent with herb-smoked trout or mature Comté
