CHAMPAGNE BRUT 'RÉSERVE PERPÉTUELLE' PHILIPPONNAT DESCRIPTION

Champagne Brut 'Réserve Perpétuelle' is the great classic of Maison Philipponnat, a sparkling wine that perfectly embodies style and prestige. It pays homage to the ancient traditions of the Philipponnat family, who were historically vineyard owners, merchants and winemakers, among the main suppliers to Louis XIV and magistrates of the town of Ay. A Champagne that was once appreciated by the most prestigious courts in Europe.

Philipponat Champagne 'Réserve Perpétuelle' is made from grapes from the best Grand and Premier Cru vineyards in the heart of Champagne. This traditional blend consists mainly of Pinot Noir (65%), with Chardonnay (30%) and Pinot Meunier (5%) added. The structure of this Champagne is determined by the addition of at least one third of reserve wines to the cuvée, carefully stored in chalk cellars and aged in wooden barrels for several years. Once bottled, the wine undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle according to the Champenoise method and then rests on the lees for about three years. Only this long rest will allow this sparkling wine to release evolved and mature aromas on the nose, combined with a masterful and powerful structure on the palate.

The 'Réserve Perpétuelle' Champagne Brut from the historic and prestigious Philipponnat maison stands out for its impeccable balance between structure, persistence and vinosity. It has a bright golden colour with amber reflections, made even more elegant by a fine-grained and persistent mousse. The nose reveals floral and slightly toasted notes, along with hints of red fruits, citrus and honey. The palate is delicately vinous, broad and structured, with fruity aromas and a long finish that reveals light notes of biscuit and fragrant bread. A Champagne of the highest quality, which long ageing has made a masterpiece.
