CHAMPAGNE ROSÉ DOUX 'RICH' VEUVE CLICQUOT DESCRIPTION

The Rosé Doux “Rich” is a special Champagne that deviates from the classic and traditional style of the ancient Maison of Reims, aiming for a more modern and youthful use. It is designed to be mixed with ice, exotic fruits, citrus, and possibly ginger or other spices, to create cocktails of particular prestige and elegance. The fruity softness of its profile makes it perfect for the innovative trends of mixology. A different way to enjoy Champagne, no longer the absolute protagonist of the glass, but a luxury ingredient in a mix of elements that together create a new drink with a modern and intriguing personality.

The Doux “Rich” by Veuve Clicquot is a Rosé made from the grapes of the three historic varieties of Champagne. The Pinot Noir (40-45%) gives structure and depth of flavor, the Meunier (30-35%) provides soft and rich fruity notes, and the Chardonnay (20-25%) adds finesse and elegance. The grapes come from a selection of about sixty crus of the Maison and to the vins clairs of the vintage, a a percentage of 25% of reserve wines. Once the cuvée is created, the wine rests on the lees in the old cellars of Reims for at least 30 months before disgorgement and the dosage with the liqueur d’expedition, which makes the Champagne very soft and harmonious.

The Champagne Veuve Clicquot Rosé Doux “Rich” finds its place in the range of labels of the legendary Maison of Reims, within a framework that sees Champagne as a precious interpreter of new trends. Alongside an audience tied to a traditional vision of Champagne, a new generation accustomed to the modern concept of mixology steps onto the consumption stage. Its tasting characteristics are also designed, not so much for a classic tasting, but to find balance with other ingredients, protagonists of the cocktail. The color is golden yellow, with a fine and beautifully persistent perlage. On the nose, it expresses a soft bouquet, characterized by the presence of aromas of ripe fruit and exotic fruit, with a nice final freshness.
