CHAMPAGNE BRUT BLANC DE BLANCS GRAND CRU 'SUBSTANCE' JACQUES SELOSSE DESCRIPTION

The Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru “Substance” is a Champagne that embodies the production philosophy and the “substance” of the Selosse style. It is a sparkling wine of great personality, unique in its kind, where Chardonnay, always cultivated with methods respectful of nature and the surrounding environment, expresses itself with memorable and incisive sips, also thanks to the long aging period spent on the lees. A bottle of great class, telling the story of a truly original Champagne, different from that of the multitude of wineries that dedicate themselves to its production. To be sabraged during the most prestigious occasions.

The Champagne “Substance” is a Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru that comes from the pure grapes of an international grape variety, Chardonnay. The vines of this variety are cultivated following principles of biodynamic agriculture, within the Grand Cru of Avize. Once harvested, they ferment spontaneously for 12 months in first-pass barriques, thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts; the refermentation occurs in the bottle, according to the principles of the Champenoise Method, and the wine remains to mature on its own lees for 7 years, after which the disgorging and bottling operations take place.

The “Substance” is a Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Champagne that, in the glass, takes on a light golden color; the grain of the perlage tells of a lively and fine bubble, very persistent. Concentrated on the nose, which develops on a weave of toasted aromas, enriched by notes of dried fruit and spicy nuances. On the palate, it has excellent structure, perfectly balanced, with a refined sip thanks to a salty weave endowed with pleasant freshness. A sparkling wine with which Jacques Selosse, a true myth of Champagne, confirms his prestige and excellence, gifting us a bottle to taste in those moments of pure happiness, when the most beautiful events of life are celebrated.
