The Chardonnay from the Breccia winery is an interesting interpretation of the French grape variety in the Trentino region. The grapes are harvested late to allow for slight over-ripening and thus a higher sugar concentration in the bunches. The ageing in new wood helps to further soften the palate, giving balance and roundness. The nose is complex, with hints of ripe yellow fruit, aromatic mountain herbs and a delicate note of vanilla. The palate is soft and enveloping, supported by a lively freshness that cleanses the mouth and leads to a slightly salty finish, an expression of the alluvial soils. Versatile in pairings, it is particularly suitable with butter and sage dumplings
