Guido Vada's Chardonnay 'Due Rue' comes from Coazzolo, one of the home towns of Moscato in the Asti area. The grapes are cold macerated for about a day to accentuate the aromatic profile without producing an extractive style. The nose is fresh and precise, with white-fleshed fruits and light flowers. On the palate, it is fresh and subtle, balanced by maturation on the lees with bâtonnage, which adds roundness without heaviness. The natural pairing is with tajarin al burro (pasta with butter sauce)
Straw yellow with greenish reflections
Fresh, with white flowers such as hawthorn and yellow-fleshed fruit such as peach, lemon zest
Very fresh, well-rounded but light, with great flavour
