CHARDONNAY 'HAUSMANNHOF' HADERBURG 2024 DESCRIPTION

The Chardonnay "Hausmannhof" produced by Haderburg is a beautiful version of the white from Burgundy, which perfectly expresses the style of the winery and the character of the alpine territory. It is a clear and vibrant label, born at high altitude, in the cool and breezy climate of South Tyrol. Its delicate aromas make it a refined and elegant white, ideal for those who love mountain wines. It is produced with a selection of the best grapes from Maso Hausmannhof, ensuring an annual production of a few thousand bottles, sought after by all enthusiasts of great whites. Along with immediate pleasantness, it also has a good propensity for aging, with interesting aromatic evolutions.

The Hausmannhof Chardonnay is one of the flagship whites of this historic winery in South Tyrol. Haderburg, in addition to producing a range of excellent quality Classic Method labels, also offers a series of still wines made with the international varieties traditionally grown in the region. Maso Hausmannhof represents the heart of the property.Haderburg. The estate is located at an altitude between 350 and 550 meters above sea level, in the Pochi area, above Salorno. The Chardonnay vineyards occupy a beautiful sunny position with a westward exposure and are characterized by predominantly calcareous-clay soils. The manual harvest usually takes place around mid-September, with selection of the best bunches directly in the vineyard. After gentle pressing, the must ferments 90% in steel tanks and 10% in barriques, for about ten days. After several months of aging, with partial malolactic fermentation, the wines are blended and bottled.

The wine “Hausmannhof” is a Chardonnay of great charm, which pairs very well with first courses featuring seafood, baked fish, or delicate white meats. In the glass, it presents a straw-yellow color with slight greenish reflections. The aromatic profile is delicate and elegant, with floral scents, citrus aromas, Golden apple, and white-fleshed fruit. On the palate, it is fragrant and smooth, with a creamy sip of ripe fruit, leading harmoniously to a very fresh finish, characterized by subtle saline sensations. A splendid version of mountain Chardonnay, impeccable in its precise varietal typicity.
