Bernhard Huber's Chardonnay 'Malterdinger' combines the elegance of Burgundy with the distinctive character of Baden. The grapes are pressed whole to obtain greater structure and aromatic complexity. In this way, Julian Huber has succeeded in creating a wine with great personality: vigorous and decisive, yet smooth with a harmonious freshness and a hint of iodine on the finish. The nose opens with notes of fresh fruit and toasted dried fruit, ending with a slight hint of sweet spices and tea leaves. With a few years of ageing, it can release even more complex aromas and evolve into hints of honey, candied citrus and flint. Perfect with scampi in butter and lemon
Bright golden yellow
Pear, yellow apple and green plum, aromas of white tea and hints of toasted hazelnut and sweet almond on the finish
Full-bodied and decisive, with harmonious freshness and refined flavour
