The Chardonnay “Siet Vignis” from Ronco del Gelso is a Friulian version of the great white from Burgundy, which combines the territorial typicity of the grapes with a choice of aging that helps give the wine a more international face. The Chardonnay “Siet Vignis” wine is produced by one of the most important and famous wineries in the Isonzo area. Founded about twenty years ago, Ronco del Gelso cultivates 26 hectares of vineyards, which slope from the hilly area of Cormons down to the plain of the Isonzo. This is a very suitable area for vine cultivation, due to the presence of alluvial soils, lean and rich in stones and pebbles. For these characteristics, the area has proven particularly suitable for the cultivation of white grape varieties and Chardonnay has found a terroir in which to express itself at interesting qualitative levels. The Chardonnay vineyards cover a total of 3 hectares, divided into seven parcels, which give the name to the label. It is an assemblage of grapes with different characteristics, which contribute to creating the right aromatic complexity and the perfect balance between the various components of the wine.
