Cheverny Rouge 'Domaine' Hervé Villemade 2024

The Cheverny Rouge 'Domaine' by Hervé Villemade is a light and refreshing red wine, made from Gamay and Pinot Noir in almost equal proportions. The former provides freshness and juiciness, thanks to fermentation with carbonic maceration, while the Pinot Noir adds a silky texture and its peculiar aromatic profile. On the nose, it opens with notes of crunchy red fruit, closing with vegetal notes of licorice with spicy and smoky hints. On the palate, it is fresh, fruity, and velvety with very fine tannins. Perfect paired with a legume soup or ratatouille.

Taste

Juicy and fresh, medium-bodied

When to open
To enjoy an artisanal wine at its best, we recommend you to let it 'breathe' at least 15-30 minutes before serving
When to drink
Wine good to drink now, but that can have a beautiful evolution after resting for a while in your cellar
Glass
Medium open goblet
Perfect for young and medium bodied red wines which don't require excessive oxygenation to open. The opening, slightly tighter than the body of the glass, favors the concentration of aromas towards the nose, enhancing the perception of aromas and limiting the dispersion
Longevity
You can let it rest in the cellar comfortably for 3-4 years
