Antinori's Chianti Superiore 'Santa Cristina' comes from a historic Antinori estate from which come wines of great drinking pleasure like this red. The vinification involves a dual process: part of the grapes ferment at a low temperature to preserve aromatic purity, part at a higher temperature to extract colour, structure and juice. Cherry, plum and dried leaves emerge on the nose. The palate reveals a medium-bodied, balanced and smooth wine. Ideal with meat dishes or with savoury dishes such as ribollita
