Domaine Boissonnet's Condrieu is made from Viognier grapes grown on a single plot in the commune of Limony, near the estate. This grape variety, cultivated all over the world, actually originates from the northern Rhône Valley, where it grows on granite soils. The nose is an explosion of sweet notes, with clear hints of tropical fruit that fade into notes of honey and almond. On the palate, it is fleshy and enveloping, soft and warm with a marked savoury tension that lengthens its persistence. Excellent with structured dishes such as foie gras with apricot jam, or chicken accompanied by fresh mushrooms
Bright golden yellow
Fruity, with hints of apricot and yellow peach, a tropical touch of mango, floral notes of honeysuckle and hints of honey on the finish
Soft and round, distinctly savoury, with moderate freshness and a very long finish
