Casa Setaro's 'Contrada 61.37' is a Vesuvian white wine aimed at preserving the native Vesuvian grape varieties. Caprettone, Greco and Fiano, planted in the Bosco del Monaco within the Vesuvius National Park, are harvested at two different times to enhance freshness and complexity, a production challenge that results in a precious wine. After a long ageing process in steel and bottle, the wine expresses aromas of broom, apricot and lava stone, while on the palate it is taut, mineral and persistent, with a marked sapidity perfect for accompanying seafood dishes based on shellfish or salt cod
