Alain Graillot's Côtes-du-Rhône 'Clos Somi' is a Mediterranean red with an intense and fragrant profile. The vines are planted on land that was once used for olive groves, now equally populated by Syrah, Cinsault and Grenache. In keeping with the winery's tradition, vinification takes place spontaneously and with whole bunches in cement, before ageing in large old barrels. The nose reveals pepper, olives and dark fruit, with intriguing balsamic notes on the finish. On the palate, it is fresh, dense and smooth, ideal with roast meats and regional cuisine such as lamb with herbs
Deep ruby red with purple reflections
Full-bodied, with dark fruits such as plum and blueberry, hints of pepper, eucalyptus and subtle aromas of black olive
Very juicy, balanced and with velvety tannins, very dynamic freshness
