CREMANT BRUT NATURE 'URU-ANNA' DOMAINE LA RENIÈRE DESCRIPTION

Domaine La Renière presents the Crémant Brut Nature ‘Uru-Anna’, a bubbly truly unique Loire wine, made from only Cabernet Franc grapes sparkling according to the Ancestral Method. This bubbly arises from the desire to experiment that drives Thibault Masse, a young vigneron from France who in 2018 purchased Domaine La Renière together with his partner Guillaume Poitevin. With the Crémant Nature ‘Uru-Anna’, Thibault aims to showcase the remarkable oenological versatility that characterizes Cabernet Franc. The label features the phrase “En regardant vers les étoiles…”, which means “looking towards the stars…”.

‘Uru-Anna’ Rosé Brut Nature Crémant from Domaine La Renière is a 100% Cabernet Franc grown on clay-limestone soils rich in tuff gypsum. The vines are over 25 years old and are in conversion to certified organic farming. After harvesting, the grapes are vinified with alcoholic fermentation occurring in steel tanks thanks to the sole intervention of indigenous yeasts. Before the yeasts exhaust the sugars present in the must-wine, the temperature is drastically lowered to inhibit fermentation activity.the temperature is lowered to inhibit the fermentation activity. The liquid is then placed in a bottle where it will resume fermentation to achieve the sparkling process according to the Ancestral Method. The aging on the lees lasts for at least 12 months and precedes the dégorgement and the subsequent topping up with the same base wine.

The Domaine La Renière Crémant Brut Nature ‘Uru-Anna’ expresses a bright golden color with a fine and persistent perlage. The nose, crisp and lively, recalls notes of red fruits, flowers, and bread crust, while on the palate it is creamy and elegant, with vibrant freshness and a fruity and harmonious finish.
