San Donatino's 'Diaccio' is a macerated white wine with a strong personality, made from Trebbiano Toscano and Malvasia grapes that macerate on the skins for almost a month. Vinified spontaneously and aged in concrete and steel, it expresses fruitiness and freshness but also great structure. The nose is complex: Mediterranean scrub, tea, hints of cocoa and a finish reminiscent of resin. On the palate, it is vigorous, tannic and very persistent. Intriguing and unconventional, it goes well with legume soups or stewed white meats
Golden yellow with intense orange reflections
Very herbaceous, with black tea, rosemary, then peach and a balsamic resin finish
Vigorous and consistent with the nose, very tannic but round and smooth
