Etna Bianco 'Isolano D&G' Donnafugata 2022

The Etna Bianco 'Isolano D&G' by Donnafugata is a white wine that tells the Mediterranean scents of Eastern Sicily. This wine originates from the North side of Etna and is produced mainly from Carricante, an indigenous grape variety of the area. On the palate, it is fresh, crisp, and pleasantly mineral, while on the nose it expresses delicate aromas of citrus zest, yellow apple, and pleasant saline hints of aromatic herbs, describing the spectacular volcanic territory from which it has taken shape. An elegant and enveloping white wine, ideal to pair with sophisticated fish and shellfish dinners!

ETNA BIANCO 'ISOLANO D&G' DONNAFUGATA 2022 DESCRIPTION

The famous Sicilian production reality Donnafugata presents the Etna Bianco ‘Isolano Limited Edition D&G’, a bottle that celebrates the charm of the Etna volcano in a beautiful design signed by Dolce & Gabbana. The illustration on the label, created by the prestigious fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana, aims to celebrate Sicily with its dazzling colors and the geometric shapes typical of the Sicilian cart. At the center of the design stands the smoking Etna, a symbol of a territory and an entire culture.

Donnafugata ‘Isolano Limited Edition D&G’ Etna Bianco is produced with a solid base of Carricante grapes, combined with small percentages of other indigenous grape varieties. The vines grow on the northern slope of the volcano, in the municipalities of Randazzo and Castiglione di Sicilia, on terraces held by dry stone walls made of lava stone. The soils are sandy, of volcanic origin and rich in mineral elements while the altitude ranges from 700 to 750 meters above sea level. In the winery, the grapes are vinified in white with soft pressing and alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, the same containers where the mass remains to mature for 9 months before bottling. Following are an additional 12 months of aging in glass.
