Etna Rosso 'Calmarossa' Santa Maria La Nave 2020

Santa Maria La Nave's Etna Rosso 'Calmarossa' comes from an ancient pre-phylloxera vineyard on the south-eastern slope of Mount Etna. The winery processes the grapes with artisanal care, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, and chooses French oak barriques to bring the wine to full maturity. The nose is very complex, releasing aromas of wild rose and ripe cherry, with hints of cinnamon, cocoa and graphite. On the palate, it is full and enveloping, with elegant tannins and a freshness that balances its volcanic structure. Ideal with red meats and traditional Sicilian dishes
