The “Ventidue” is an intense and complex Fiano di Avellino crafted by the prestigious Villa Raiano winery. In the heart of Irpinia, more precisely in the municipality of Lapio, lie the historic vines of Fiano grapes. The perfect exposure, the clayey and calcareous soil, and the right altitude, caressed by marine breezes, have created the perfect microclimate where the vines produce concentrated and rich fruits. It is no coincidence that in this highly suited area some of the most important white wines of Campania are born, and Villa Raiano's is an illustrious example.
The Fiano di Avellino “Ventidue” is born from a gentle pressing of the bunch, which thus yields a must of remarkable elegance. The grape juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks for several months and aged for almost a year in the same containers, in order to preserve all the primary flavors of the grape. Finally, it completes its journey with a final aging of over 14 months in bottle.
The “Ventidue” by Villa Raiano presents itself with a straw-yellow cloak, tending towards golden, of perfect clarity and great brightness. The aromas are elegant and complex, where the fruit salad of yellow and white fruits is seasoned with almonds, aromatic spices, and a hint of lemon juice. The taste is full and rich, where freshness and sapidity are the absolute protagonists of the scene. It pairs perfectly with grilled or fried fish from the Tyrrhenian Sea, but it also goes very well with dishes based on mushrooms or flavorful cheeses.
