Maison Lou Dumont's Fixin is a wine from a small appellation in the Côte de Nuits. The Pinot Noir grapes come from vines that are around 50 years old, grown on marly and calcareous soils. Ageing in partly new oak barriques for over a year gives finesse to the nose and softens and harmonises the tannic structure. The nose opens with hints of small red fruits, accompanied by notes of rose petals, spicy and toasted hints, with earthy hints of truffle on the finish. On the palate, it is dynamic and smooth, with well-integrated tannins and a long finish. Perfect with a game dish, such as roast pigeon
Deep ruby red
Complex, with hints of currant and raspberry, floral notes of rose, hints of black pepper and leather, earthy notes on the finish
Soft and enveloping, with elegant tannins and a very long finish
