FRANCIACORTA BRUT 'CABOCHON FUORISERIE N° 026' MONTE ROSSA DESCRIPTION

The Brut 'Cabochon Fuoriserie N° 026' by Monte Rossa is one of the most renowned and important Franciacorta wines of the denomination. N° 026 is an extraordinary edition of this flagship wine from the Cazzago San Martino estate, released to celebrate the twenty-fifth cuvée in its history. It is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, crafted with a significant percentage of reserve wines to create a Metodo Classico sparkling wine that is complex, harmonious, and endowed with great depth of flavor. Thanks to its long aging on the lees, it reveals evolved notes with aromas of candied fruit, citrus, and hints of medicinal herbs.

“Cabochon Fuoriserie N° 026” is a Franciacorta Brut born from the pursuit of excellence of one of the names that helped build the fame and success of this territory. Monte Rossa is a winery founded in the early 1970s that has captured the attention of wine lovers with wines made in a highly personal style, based on meticulous grape selection, vinification often carried out in oak, and a constant search for harmony and elegance as the guiding thread throughout the range. Cabochon perfectly embodies this philosophy and remains an icon of Franciacorta, synonymous with excellence and consistency over time. It is a wine that fully expresses the richness of its territory and its vocation for producing sparkling wines appreciated beyond national borders.

The Franciacorta Brut “Cabochon Fuoriserie N° 026” by Monte Rossa is produced from a careful selection of the finest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes grown in the Pratone, Barek, Brolo, Palo, and Nespoli parcels. After gentle pressing, each vineyard undergoes separate fermentation in small oak barrels. The base wines rest in wood for several months before the final blending, which includes 20% reserve wines. The second fermentation takes place in bottle according to the Metodo Classico, followed by at least 40 months of aging on the lees. In the glass, it shows a pale yellow color with a very fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it offers aromas of citrus, mandarin peel, candied fruit, honeyed softness, nuances of medicinal herbs, and balsamic touches. On the palate, it is long, intense, complex, and broad, with a balanced and savory finish. A great Franciacorta to open and enjoy on special occasions.
