In the heart of the San Floriano del Collio territory, among the gentle hills covered with vineyards, the Friulano 'Miklus' Draga is born, a wine excellence that carries centuries of tradition and love for the land. The Draga winery, heir to a long family history linked to viticulture, stands out for its dedication to sustainability and non-invasive practices: as wise grandfather Franz reminds us, "If you respect Nature and the land, they will never betray you." And in these places, among the sun-kissed rows at 200 meters above sea level, each grape cluster encapsulates the essence of a unique territory, made of hilly marl and sandstone soils, locally known as "ponca."
Collio is a land that speaks through its wines, and Friulano 'Miklus' Draga is the emblem of this communication. Here, cultivation and winemaking techniques harmoniously blend with environmental respect. Manual harvesting, Guyot pruning, and the absence of herbicides and pesticides are just some of the pillars on which the production of this rich wine is based. From grape selection to spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, every step is guided by care and attention to preserve the authenticity of the territory. Two years of refinement in French oak barrels confer upon the wine a unique complexity and depth, maintaining the link with the roots of Collio.
At the tasting moment, Friulano 'Miklus' Draga reveals itself in all its sensory beauty. Its intense and golden yellow color anticipates a floral and fruity bouquet, rich in nuances of almond flowers, peach, and apricot. The soft and creamy taste, enriched with mineral and savory notes, elegantly envelops the palate with persistence. This white wine is perfectly suited to be enjoyed on its own during an aperitif or paired with refined dishes such as shellfish or truffle risottos. Each sip is an unforgettable experience of taste and tradition.
