The Friulano by Sirch represents the label of tradition, the quintessential white of the territory. It is a fruity and harmonious, fragrant and intense wine that has been a protagonist of Friulian tables for centuries, due to its great drinkability and versatility in pairings. Once known as Tocai and of probable French origin, it has left its native homeland and found in the Colli Orientali area the ideal conditions to express itself at high qualitative levels. Vinified only in steel, it preserves its varietal richness, offering a sip of great taste balance.
The Friulano Sirch is born in the wonderful area of the Colli Orientali, crafted by a winery with great traditions, which still works today with passion and artisanal care. The favorable climatic conditions and the suitable soils allow for the production of great white wines, always considered among the best of our peninsula. The Friulano vineyards are cultivated on sunny hilly exposures, characterized by soils made up of marls and sandstones. At the end of the manual harvest, the bunches are de-stemmed before proceeding to the soft pressing of the grapes. The must undergoes static decantation and is then started to fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 18-20 °C. Before being bottled, the wine rests for 8 months on its own yeasts with periodic bâtonnage.
The Sirch Friulano is a label that is part of the collection of Typical wines of the winery, created specifically to make known and enhance the classic grapes of the territory in their best varietal expression. It is a wine of great expressive purity, clear and linear, which immediately expresses the personality of the grape variety. In appearance, it presents a light straw yellow color. The olfactory profile is intense and rich, with aromas of wildflowers, citrus notes, white-fleshed fruit, hints of medicinal herbs and fresh almond. The sip is broad and harmonious, with a ripe and expressive fruit, well balanced by a fresh savory finish. At the table, it pairs well with baked fish, white meats, and first courses with vegetables. Unbeatable with San Daniele.
