Garganega 'Traccia di Bianco' originates in the hills of Cavaion Veronese, near Lake Garda. It is a full-bodied white wine produced by the now famous artisan Matilde Poggi. The grapes are cooled overnight in a cold room and ferment spontaneously in cement, with ageing on fine lees and bottling without filtration. The nose is ripe, rather vertical, with hints of white peach, apricot and whiffs of saffron, while the palate is dominated by a deep and elegant saline freshness. It pairs well with fish dishes and mature cheeses, ideal with creamed cod or Monte Veronese cheese
Straw yellow with greenish reflections, slightly cloudy
Mature with peach, apricot, subtle hints of saffron and notes of flintstone
Very fresh, with a savoury kick, rather vertical
