Domaine Castagnier's Gevrey-Chambertin is an artisanal Pinot Noir with structure, typical of the Cote de Nuits, which presents itself with great classicism and precision. In the glass, it shows an elegant and deep profile, dominated by small ripe red fruits, notes of cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry, enriched with hints of undergrowth, sweet spices and a touch of earthiness. On the palate, it is harmonious, broad and layered, with fine tannins and a medium but palpable structure, supported by a great freshness that persists throughout the finish. It is a Gevrey-Chambertin that is already enjoyable but has excellent ageing potential, capable of maturing beautifully over the years while maintaining balance, depth and definition
Light ruby red
Complex, with cherry and raspberry, hints of mushroom and undergrowth, with earthy notes and a finish of violet, cardamom and aniseed
Very subtle, delicate yet rounded, harmonious and intensely fragrant
