Weingut Heinrich's 'Graue Freyheit' is a multi-varietal macerated white wine that defies definition: intense and vibrant, yet with the finesse of a Burgundy. It is aged for about a year and a half in amphorae and large wooden barrels to develop a multifaceted profile. The nose reveals ripe white fruit, giving way to intense vegetal notes with hints of green tea. On the palate, it is taut, salty and deep. Complex, excellent with vegetarian dishes or flavourful fish, try it with a salt cod risotto
Golden yellow with intense coppery reflections
Herbaceous, with hints of tea and myrtle, apricot and orange, iodine finish
Salty, with incisive freshness and a taut but juicy mouthfeel, very persistent
